Short title and

commencement.

Interpretation.

PRELIMINARY

1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Waste Disposal Ordinance.

(2) This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette, and notice under this section may appoint different dates for different provi- sions of this Ordinance.

2. (1) In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires-

"analyst" means the Government Chemist or any person appointed by the Governor under section 23E(5); (Added, 58 of 1987, s. 2)

"animal waste" means-

(a) the manure or urine of any animal; or

(b) any dead animal or any part of any dead animal not fit for,

or not intended for, human consumption; or

(c) any bedding, straw or other waste contaminated by the manure or urine of any animal; (Replaced, 58 of 1987, s. 2)

"authorized officer" means a public officer authorized under section
