HOUSING

To provide for the establishment and functions of a Housing Authority and for purposes connected therewith.

PART I

PRELIMINARY

1.

Short title

This Ordinance may be cited as the Housing Ordinance.

2. Interpretation

In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires-

"Authority" means the Housing Authority established under section 3; "authorized officer" means any public officer to whom the Authority, or a committee of the Authority, has delegated any of its powers and functions under section 10;

"car park" means any land in an estate set aside and designated by signs by the Authority for use as a car park; (Added 19 of 1978 s. 2)

"common parts" means the whole of any land sold or otherwise disposed of under section 17A, except such parts thereof as have been specified or designated in an instrument registered in the Land Office as being for the exclusive use, occupation or enjoyment of an owner; (Added 33 of 1978 s. 2)

"estate" means any land vested in the Authority or the control and management of which has been vested in the Authority under section 5 or under a deed of mutual covenant or otherwise; (Amended 33 of 1978 s. 2)

"housing" means residential, industrial, commercial and business accommodation, buildings or premises;

"land" means immovable property; (Replaced 15 of 1982 s. 2)
