31. Exemptions
(1) Nothing in this Ordinance shall operate to prevent the practice of medicine or surgery by a medical practitioner registered under the Medical Registration Ordinance (Cap. 161).
(2) Nothing in this Ordinance shall operate to prevent the training of medical students, dental students, dental therapists or dental hygienists in the practice of dentistry under the supervision of a registered dentist or a person deemed to be a registered dentist during a course of training operated by an institution approved by the Governor for the purpose of this section. (Replaced 79 of 1984 s. 6. Amended 62 of 1987 s. 9)
(3) Nothing in this Ordinance shall operate to prevent the performance by dental therapists employed in the public service of minor dental work of such a character as may be authorized in writing by a government consultant dental surgeon appointed by the Director of Health for that purpose.
