1986 Ed.] Bathing Beach (Urban Council) By-laws [CAP. 132

16. Any person who--

(a) contravenes any of the provisions of by-law 5, 6, 7, 8, 9(1),

11(1) or (3), 12, 13, 14, or 15; or

(b) without reasonable excuse, fails to comply with any of the

requirements of a notice posted under by-law 4(2),

shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine of $500 and to imprisonment for 14 days, and, where the offence is a continuing offence, shall be liable in addition to a fine of $10 for each day during which it is proved to the satisfaction of the court that the offence has continued.

17. Without prejudice to the provisions of any other enactment relating to the prosecution of criminal offences and without prejudice to the powers of the Attorney General in relation to the prosecution of such offence, prosecutions for an offence under any of the provisions of these by-laws may be brought in the name of the Council.
