STATUTE 13.

The Finance Committee.

The Finance Committee shall consist of-

the Treasurer of the University, who shall be chairman; the Vice-Chancellor;

the Financial Secretary;

the Chief Manager of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, or the person for the time being in charge of the business of the said corporation in Hong Kong; the member of the Council nominated by The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, and

a member elected annually by the foregoing members of the committee from the teaching staff of the University.

The Registrar shall be the secretary but not a member of the Finance Committee.

3. Three members of the Finance Committee shall form a quorum.

STATUTE 14.

Disciplinary Committees.

1. All matters relating to charges of inefficiency, neglect of duty or misconduct against any officer of the University whom the Court or the Council has power to appoint shall stand referred to a disciplinary committee of the Court or of the Council, as the case may be, and the committee shall have all the powers of the Court or the Council in relation to such charges.

2. The disciplinary committee of the Council shall consist of three persons appointed by the Chancellor, namely a senior member of the teaching staff of the University, a member of the Council who is not a member of that staff, and one other person.

1. The Senate shall consist of-

the professors and readers of the University.

The Senate shall meet once in each term of every academic year, and at such other times as may be necessary.

the Senate shall have power-

(a) to direct and regulate generally the instruction and education

in and the examinations held by the University;
