CHAPTER 259.

PENSIONS (SPECIAL WAR APPOINTMENTS).

[CAP. 259

To provide for the granting of pensions in respect of a period of service during the war by a person in His Majesty's forces which intervened between an appointment of that person to the Colonial Service by the Secretary of State and the actual taking up by him of the duties of the appointment.

[12th November, 1948.]

1. This Ordinance shall be cited as the Pensions (Special War Appointments) Ordinance, and shall be read as one with the Pensions Ordinance.

(Cap. 89.)

2. The officer named in the First Column of the Schedule hereto shall be deemed for all purposes to have held a pensionable office from the respective dates set out in the Second Column of the said Schedule.

3. It shall be lawful for the Governor in Council by order to add to the Schedule to this Ordinance.
