Mercantile Bank Note Issue.
Financial Secretary referred to in subsection (2) of section 5, or fails to comply with any of the other provisions of this Ordinance, the power of the company to make, issue, reissue and circulate notes shall immediately cease. [7A]
7. Nothing contained in this Ordinance shall exempt the company from the operation of any law restricting or regulating the issue of notes in the Colony. [8]
8. Nothing in this Ordinance shall affect or be deemed to affect the rights of His Majesty the King, His Heirs and Successors or the rights of any body politic or corporate or of any other persons except such as are mentioned in this Ordinance and those claiming by, from or under them. [9]
