43. Whenever any Act is extended or applied to Hong Kong and whenever any Order in Council is made which applies to territories other than the Colony as well as to such Colony, the same shall be read with such modifications as to names, localities, courts, officers, persons, moneys, penalties and otherwise as may be necessary to make it applicable to the circumstances; and in particular any reference to a Probate Court, Bankruptcy Court or Admiralty Court or similar expression shall be construed as a reference to the Supreme Court exercising the appropriate jurisdiction.

44. A reference in any enactment to any imperial enactment or to any provision, part or division thereof shall be construed as a reference to the same as the same may be amended from time to time and as a reference to any enactment, provision, part or division substituted therefor.

45. When any imperial statute is referred to, it shall be sufficient for all purposes to cite such imperial enactment by the short title cited therein or by the short title given thereto by the Short Titles Act, 1896 (59 & 60 Vict. c. 14).
