Short title.

Interpretation.

PART I.

Regulation.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the New Territories Regulation Ordinance, 1910.

3. In this Ordinance,

(a) "Conveyance" includes assignment, appointment, lease, settlement and other assurance, made by deed on a sale, mortgage, demise or settlement of land or on any other dealing with land; and "convey" has a meaning corresponding with that of conveyance;

(b) "District Officer" includes Assistant District Officer;

(c) "Income" in relation to land includes rents and profits, and "possession" includes receipt of income;

(d) "Instrument" includes deed, will, power of attorney, Act of Parliament or Ordinance;

(e) "Land" includes land covered by water or within the flow of the sea and houses and other buildings and any undivided share in land and every estate and interest in land and also includes any rent or profit issuing out of land and any easement affecting land and also any market-building or portion of such
