The condition of the within-written recognizance is such that if the within-bounden C.D. keeps the peace and is of good behaviour towards His Majesty and all his liege people, and especially towards , for the term of now next ensuing [or abstains from doing the thing forbidden, or as the case may be], then the said recognizance shall be void, but otherwise shall remain in full force.
NOTE. Where the recognizance is taken orally, omit the words "the undersigned," and insert the word "orally" after "taken."
