These are, therefore, to command you, the said constables to take the said E.F. and him safely to convey to the Gaol, and there to deliver him to the Superintendent of Prisons, together with this precept, and you, the said Superintendent, to receive the said E.F. into your custody in the Gaol, and there imprison him for such his contempt for the space of days, unless he shall in the meantime consent to be examined and to answer concerning the premises; and for your so doing this shall be your sufficient warrant.

Warrant to remand a defendant when apprehended
IN THE POLICE COURT AT
To each and all of the constables of the said Colony and to the Superintendent of Prisons.
Information having been laid [or complaint having been made, or C.D. having been charged] before the undersigned, a magistrate of the said Colony, for that [as in the summons or warrant]; and the said C.D. being now brought before me as such magistrate as aforesaid under and by virtue of a warrant upon such information [or complaint, on charge]: These are, therefore, to command you, the said constables, in His Majesty's name, forthwith to convey the said C.D. to the Gaol and there to deliver him to the Superintendent of Prisons, together with this precept and you, the said Superintendent, to receive the said C.D. into your custody in the Gaol, and there safely to keep him until the day of 19, when you are hereby commanded to convey and have him at the said police court at o'clock in the noon of the same day, before such magistrate as may then be there, to answer to the said information [or complaint, or charge], and to be further dealt with according to law.
