8. Nothing contained in this Ordinance shall exempt the company from the operation of any law restricting or regulating the issue of notes in the Colony.
9. Nothing in this Ordinance shall affect or be deemed to affect the rights of His Majesty the King, His Heirs and Successors, or the rights of any body politic or corporate or of any other person except such as are mentioned in this Ordinance and those claiming by, from or under them.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Holidays Ordinance, 1912.
2. In this Ordinance,
(a) "General holiday" means a day which (subject to the provisions of section 5) shall be a dies non and which shall be kept as a holiday by all banks, educational establishments, public offices, and Government departments.
(b) "Public holiday" means a day which (subject to the provisions of section 5) shall be kept as a holiday by all educational establishments, public offices, and Government departments.
