It shall be lawful for the Governor, by notification in The Gazette, at any time to appoint a special day to be observed as a public holiday or as a bank holiday, in addition to or in substitution for any of the days mentioned in the Schedules to this Ordinance, and thereupon the provisions of this Ordinance shall be applicable to such day in the same manner as if the said day had been mentioned in the First or Second Schedule to this Ordinance.

8. THE FIRST SCHEDULE.
TABLE OF PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.
1. The 1st day of January.
2. Good Friday.
3. The Birthday of Her Majesty, or the day on which Her Majesty's Birthday is ordered to be kept.
4. Christmas Day.
5. The 26th day of December,
N.B.-If any of these days falls on a Sunday, the next following Monday shall be a public holiday.
THE SECOND SCHEDULE.
TABLE OF BANK HOLIDAYS.
1. Chinese New Year's Day,
2. The first Monday in August.
3. Easter Monday.
4. Whitmonday.
5. Victoria Day?
