To each and all of the Constables of the said Colony and to the Superintendent of Victoria Gaol in the said Colony,
Whereas C.D. was this day charged before the undersigned, a Magistrate of the said Colony, for that [etc., as in the warrant to apprehend]; and it appears to me to be necessary to remand the said C.D.: These are, therefore, to command you, the said Constables, in Her Majesty's name, forthwith to convey the said C.D. to the said Gaol and there deliver him to the said Superintendent, together with this precept; and you, the said Superintendent, to receive the said C.D. into your custody in the said Gaol and there safely keep him until day, the day of when I hereby command you to have him at the said Police Court, at o'clock in the noon of the same day, before such Magistrate of the said Colony as may be sitting at the said Court, to answer further to the said charge, and to be further dealt with according to law, unless you shall be otherwise ordered in the meantime.
