BE it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
Preliminary Provisions.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Code of Civil Procedure.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires,—
The Court means the Supreme Court and includes the Chief Justice and the Judge of the Supreme Court, sitting separately, in Court or in Chambers:
<< The Full Court means the Chief Justice and the Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court, sitting together, in Court or in Chambers "The Registry" means the Registry of the Court:
"The Registrar " means the Registrar of the Court and includes a Deputy Registrar:
"The Bailiff" means a Bailiff of the Court and includes any person lawfully authorized to execute the process of the Court
"This Code" means the Code of Civil Procedure established by this Ordinance :
"Within the jurisdiction" means within the Colony
