Addition to fees specified in schedule of Ordinance 8 of 1879.

An Ordinance entitled An Ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 8 of 1879.

[15th February, 1887.]

BE it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. In addition to the fees specified in table C of the schedule annexed to Ordinance No. 8 of 1879, the following fees are hereby declared to be payable to the Collector appointed by the Government as the lawful fees for the discharge of the respective duties specified, and the same may be recovered as provided by section 13 of the said Ordinance.

The said fees shall be paid into the Colonial Treasury for the use of Her Majesty.

For surveys of ships' bottom only,-half the fees for surveys of steam-ships for passenger certificates.

An Ordinance entitled An Ordinance for promoting the Revision of the Statute Law by repealing certain enactments which have ceased to be in force or have become unnecessary.

WHEREAS [15th February, 1887.] with a view to the revision of the Statute Law and in particular to the preparation of a revised edition of the Ordinances now in progress, it is expedient that certain enactments (mentioned in the schedule to this Ordinance) which may be regarded as spent or have ceased to be in force otherwise than by express and specific repeal or have by lapse of time and change of circumstances become unnecessary or as to which doubts have arisen whether the same have been expressly and specifically repealed, should be expressly and specifically repealed; Be it therefore enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited for all purposes as The Statute Law Revision Ordinance, 1887.
