Merchant Shipping-Fees.
15. In every prosecution for any misdemeanor against this Ordinance the Court may allow the expenses of the prosecution in all respects as in cases of felony.
16. Misdemeanors against this Ordinance shall be prosecuted or tried at the Supreme Court only.
17. The word "Trustee" shall in this Ordinance mean a trustee on some express trust created by some deed, will, or instrument in writing, and shall also include the heir and personal representative of any such trustee, and also all executors and administrators, liquidators under the Joint Stock Companies Acts of the Imperial Parliament and all assignees in bankruptcy and insolvency:
The word "Property" shall include every description of real and personal property, goods, raw or other materials, money, debts, and legacies, and all deeds and instruments relating to or evidencing the title or right to any property, or giving a right to recover or receive any money or goods; and such word "Property" shall also denote and include not only such real and personal property as may have been the original subject of a trust, but also any real or personal property into which the same may have been converted or exchanged, and the proceeds thereof respectively, and anything acquired by such proceeds.

An Ordinance to establish and regulate certain Fees to be taken for Duties to be performed under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1854.

WHEREAS it is expedient to fix a tariff of fees to be levied and taken in the Colony of Hongkong in respect of certain duties to be performed under "The Merchant Shipping Act, 1854": Be it enacted and ordained by His Excellency the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
1. That the respective fees specified in the schedule hereunto annexed shall be paid and taken, and may be sued for, by the officer for the time being discharging the duties of Principal Officer of Customs in Hongkong under the provisions of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1854, as the lawful fees for the discharge of the respective duties therein specified.
2. All fees levied under this Ordinance shall be paid in current dollars, and shall be paid by the officer receiving them into the Colonial Treasury.
