approved in manner aforesaid, and unless and until the same shall have been printed in English and Chinese characters and exhibited at the Harbor Master's office and Water Police Stations and affixed at three public wharves.
3. The approval of the Governor shall be signified by the signature of the Governor being affixed to some draft or copy of the said regulations and directions.
4. Such regulations and directions may, from time to time, be rescinded or revoked, varied or modified with the approval of the Governor.
5. Every breach of such regulations and directions, and violation, or disregard thereof, or disobedience thereto, shall be a separate offence, and shall be enquired of and determined by any Police Magistrate, and punishable with a fine not exceeding twenty dollars, or imprisonment not exceeding one month.

An Ordinance to authorize the Appropriation of a Supplementary Sum not exceeding Thirty-eight thousand Dollars to defray the Charges of the Year 1868.

WHEREAS it has become necessary to make further provision for the public service of the Colony for the year 1868, in addition to the charge upon the revenue for the service of the said year already provided for in the Estimates submitted to the Legislative Council: Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:

1. A sum not exceeding thirty-eight thousand dollars shall be and the same is hereby Supplementary charged upon the revenue of this Colony for the service of the year 1868, the said sum so charged being expended as hereinafter specified; that is to say:-
