registering in pursuance of this Ordinance by virtue of any Ordinance, deed of settlement, contract of copartnery, letters patent, or other instrument constituting or regulating the company.

19. The Court may, at any time after the presentation of a petition for winding up a company registered in pursuance of this Ordinance and before making an order for winding up the company, upon the application by motion of any creditor of the company, restrain further proceedings in any action, suit, or legal proceedings against any contributory of the company, as well as against the company as hereinbefore provided, upon such terms as the Court thinks fit.

20. Where an order has been made for winding up a company registered in pursuance of this Ordinance in addition to the provisions hereinbefore contained, it is hereby further provided that no suit, action, or other legal proceeding shall be commenced or proceeded with against any contributory of the company in respect of any debt of the company, except with the leave of the Court and subject to such terms as the Court may impose.

WHEREAS it has become necessary to make further provision for the public service of the Colony for the year 1865, in addition to the charge upon the revenue for the service of the said year already provided for in the Estimates submitted to the Legislative Council: Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows :-

1. A sum not exceeding two hundred and sixty-five thousand dollars shall be, and the same is hereby charged upon the revenue of this Colony for the service of the year 1865, and the said sum so charged shall be expended as hereinafter specified; that is to say:
