Everything remains quiet in Macao. An in- ferior Mandarin visited his Excellency the Go- vernor a few days ago, and was received not with the usual ceremony attending such con- ferences with Laropeans, sur roundly rated as 8 coward and a liar.

By the recent arrivals from Shanghai we have des to the 13th instant. Extensive operations had been made in SEK. the export since July last will amount (when the vessels in port shall have been dspatched) to 8000 Bales, prices had a tendency to decline, except for the finer sorts, which were scarce. Corros Goops generally were difficult of sale; ex- cepting Grey Long Cloths, which were going off readily with every prospect of an increase in price. AMERICAN DRILLS (in second hands) were ra. ther dull af sale at $2-85. none in importers hands.
