July 25th.---After the departure of the War Str. Spiteful" the B. C. Str. "Phlegethon" with Ad. miral on board proceeded up the rivers on the const of Bornes as far Amboan, apriving at the letter place on the 29th. The fert remained there until the 31st, procuring Bullocks, &c., when the ships got underweigh. The "Phlegeton" west up to Tampasook. At the latter place captured a piratical prow basing on board 3 Guns and 20 men-one dead- man fund on board. The men were pat in Irons on handthe Phlegethon" and the bont destroyed the men were sent on board the "Ringdore" to Manila for trial. On the 1st August the boats of the fest were despatched by the Admiral to the town of Tampasook, which was destroyed by are as the Ad.. miral found that the inhabitants were pirata. On the 2nd the boats went up to Bandahasan and des
