The augmentation of the army provided for in the estimates is 10.000 man, viz., 8,500 for the In- fantry, and 1,500 for the Ordnance corps.

The regiments first for foreign service, and to be augmented to 1,200 men each, are, the 24th, 32nd, 8th, 6th, 37th, 38th, 56th, and 69th.

The twenty-seven regiments on foreign service which have four-company Depots at home, are to be augmented from 800 to 1,000 men ; and two of the Depot companies are to be join the service coní- pavies, making the latter eight companies of 100 men each.

EXPORTS.

Cotton; -The little doing in the market continues to be for shipment to China, present prices deter ring parties from operating for the English market. Prices, as our quotations shew, have further re- ceded, and have still a downward tendency.The quotations given are chiefly for the New Crop, what is left of the old being trilling in quantity, and mere refuse, except the Compla description.
