Buller is to suced to the Lieutenant-Coloneley, vice Mr. Symons, deccased---An inquest was held on 1st March upon the remains of Miss Jane Ches- ter, who was in her S4th year, at the mansion of her brother. Sir It. Chester, near Hertford. It ap. pears that the deceased had gone into the kitchen, enveloped in flames. The infortunate lady was- most dangerously burned about the arms, face, chest, and lower part of the body, and continued into the greatest agony till she expired.
Hampstead has been the scance of a shocking murder. On a path near a style by the roadside, in a field not &r from Bellsize Park, midway bet. ween the Swiss Cottage Tavero and Hagerstock Terrace, the body of a man was discovered, lying with the face pivars in a post of blood. Life was extinct, but the body was still warm. There were several wounds on the head, maile by some blunt instrument. At the inquest it appeared that the murdered man was Mr. Janes Delárne, a ter cher of music, residing in Whittleburystreet, Eus top-square. In one of his packets was found a lat ter signed Caroline," requesting him to meet the writer at the place where they had spent so many half hours together, as she had something of the first importance to communicate.
