China Raw Silk,-Prices of Tauties remain the same as in our last report, and the demand is limit ed. Among the arrivals during the month there are 45 bales of long reeled Taysaam, ex "Euphra- tee," of fhir and good sort, and also 05 bales of second class Teatlee, nad a few bules of fine long Canton Silk which have been sold at a high price. The deliveries continus in propoition to those of the preceding months. At rates comparative to those of other kinds of Silk, both Tsallre, Tayanam, and also Canton, would find a ready Market,
Italian Raw Silk-Although the purchases have not been large, prices are exceedingly firm, if not rather higher than in last month, and the mer. chants are still anticipating some advance, There is not much doing in this Silk at the present time, During this and the last month about 100 bales have been re-shipped to the Continent, which, with rather a small importation hue somewhat decreased the stocks. The importations for the remulader of the season are expected to be vary limited, The new drop will begin to arrive towards the middle or end of July ; at presont nothing can be said of the prospects of this approaching "Raccolta,"
Brugen Raw Silk Continues in good demand, and at improved rates. Of 390 Boles landed at the commencement of the monik, daly about 100 Bales remain unsold. Prices are vory firm, and the Stock small. There are about 200, Bales to be unloaded carly in April The quotations received by the last Mail from Constantinople are higher than previously.
Persian Raw Silk.-There are nons in the market, and all that arrived during the month have been sold at 10s, to 118, Bd. per lb. Aboit 400 Bales are expected to be landed shortly, and some advices state that a large quantity of this Silk is on the way, but as others differ materially, it is not possible to say what may be expected; notwith standing, it is reported generally, that from 2,000 to 3,000 Ballots are already shipped for England. Prices are firm, and have not at present bean affher- ed by the reported large shipment.
Black Silk Handkerchiefs, --The 1,000 pieces lately received were of rather common quality, but sold for 954. to 258. Od. in consequence of th present acarcity of these Goods.
Pongee Handkerchiefs--The plain kind are rather neares, and were sold at our quotations, The demand for the Figured is still chiefly con- fined to the lower qualities.
Ponges Silks ---Were chiefly bought in by the Importers at high monival rates. Some of good quality brought 38% to 41s. Od., inferior and middling 278, to 31s &d.
Crape Shawls, Ton supply of Damasked Craps Shawl is very large, and the price has declined to 85. Od. to 09, the bulk of theen offered at the Sales were bought in or withdrawn. The stock is now 16,000 Shawla
Duumaks. - Have been in fair demand, and those of the usuni kind sold at 90s. to 05. Sothe very thošca new patterns of two colours, athl double satin wore sold, or bought in at 1508, tv 100%
