GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
TE Contract hitherto in force for the publication of GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATIONs having ceased on the 21st instant -Notice is hereby given, that the HONGKONG GOVERNMENT GAZE ITË, this day established, will be hereafter the only Official Organ of Proclamations, Notifications, and all Public Papers of this Government.

His Excellency Sir John Bowring, Knight, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, Her Majesty's Plenipotentiary and Chief Superintendent of the Trade of British Subjects in China, on the occasion of the Birthday of Her Most Gracious Majesty, is pleased, in the name and on behalf of The Queen, to grant a Free Pardon to John Wright, John Davis, John Nolan, Thomas Gleeson, Edward Neil, Ow-Aloong, Low-Moon-Chay, Wong-A-Sheak, Chun-Fat-Po,Chung-Ah-Choo, Tahn-Ashing, Mak-Ahfat, Chaong- Aye, Lai-Aka, Cheang-Aqui, and Lum-Yat-Hing, at present confined in the Goal of this Colony, the condition of such Pardon being that if any of the above named prisoners shall be found within this Colony during the remaining period of his or her sentence, he or she shall be liable to re-apprehen- sion, and this pardon shall be null and void and of no effect.
