No. 814.-It is hereby notified that tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 16th instant, for the supply of the under-mentioned Small Stores for the use of the Police Department, for the six months ending the 30th day of June, 1908: --

(Comet Oil).

Kerosine

Lamp Oil.

Lamp Wick,

Small Wick.

Brooms.

Coir Brooms.

Baskets.

Pipe Clay.

per lb.

Coarse Paper.

cach.

American Lamp

Chimneys. American Lamp

do.

Wicks.

White Lime.

Common Soap.

Small Lamp Chimneys.

Charcoal.

Firewood.

Cash.

Emery Cloth.

Paint Brushes.

Dust Pans (Tin).

The above enumerated Articles must be of good quality, deliverable at the Central Police Barracks at such times and in such quantities as may be required.

The successful tenderer will be expected to enter into a bond, containing a penalty in case of failure or refusal to carry out the terms of the tender.

Form of tender may be obtained at the Colonial Secretary's Office, and this form only must be used.

For further particulars apply at the Office of the Captain Superintendent of Police.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

PRISON DEPARTMENT.

No. 815.-With reference to Government Notification No. 698 of 1900, separate tenders for the supply of the Articles therein mentioned, from the 1st February, 1908, to the 31st January, 1909, inclusive, will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Saturday, the 28th December, 1907.

No tender will be considered, unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $400 as a pledge of the bonâ fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person refuses to carry out his tender.

For form of tender apply at the Colonial Secretary's Office.

For any other information apply at the Office of the Assistant Superintendent, Prison Department.

The successful tenderer will be required to sign an agreement and to give security to the satisfaction of the Government in the sum of $2,000.
