GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

The strictest instructions having been received from Her Majesty's Government that the provisions of the Passengers' Act of 1852 can in no degree be relaxed, the Honorable the Lieutenant Governor deems it necessary to notify that in future all vessels requiring clearance from the Emigration Officer must comply fully with those provisions.

It is hereby notified that all Lots of Ground, purchased at Public Sales, and not built upon, or improved after a proper manner according to terms of Lease, will be resumed forthwith by Govern- sale. ment, and again offered for public competition.

The Surveyor General has received instructions accordingly.

It is hereby notified that a sale by Public Auction of Crown Lands on Leases will be held, on the Ground to be sold, on Wednesday the 15th March next at noon.

Detailed information regarding the Lots to be sold will be published previously in the Government Gazette.

Persons desirous of having any particular Lot or Lots inserted in the Sale Bill are required to make application to the Surveyor General on or before the 28th instant.
