POST-OFFICE NOTIFICATION. THE next GENERAL MAILS by the ERIN, will be closed at 6 o'clock P.M., on Thursday, the 26th October, and the customary SUPPLEMENTARY MAIL will be made up on the following Morning between the Hours of 9 and 10 o'clock.

CONTENTS, AND VALUR OF PACKAGES, ARE REQUIRED. A written declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages for the Overland Route is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be delivered by the Ship- per to the Company's Agents with the Bills of Luding, or with Parcels; and the Company do not hold themselves responsible for any Detention or Prejudice which may happen from incorrectness in such declaration.

THE Hours of Divine Service in the CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF ST. JOHN are, on Sundays at 11 A.M. and 5 P.M., and on Thursdays at 5 P.M.

HE PENINSULAR & ORIENTAL STEAM NAVIGATION COM- PANY'S Steam-ship ERIN, Captain ROGERS, with Her Majesty's Mails, Passengers, Specie, and Cargo, will leave this for the above Places, on FRIDAY, the 27th October, at 2 P. M.
