The Contract for publishing this Gazette, entered into on the 24th September, 1853, was terminated on the 30th ultimo ; and notice is hereby hat a NEW SERIES of this Gazette will be published hereafter, to commence from the 7th instant, under a New Contract, and that
"THE HONGKONG GOVERNMENT GAZETTE"
before, be the only Official Organ for PROCLAMAtions, NotifiCATIONS, and PUBLIC Parers, of this Government.

THE Partnership lately subsisting between Mace
KERTOOM and CARR LUCAS, heretofore carrying on business under the firm of MACKERTOOM & Co., at Canton, was, on the 20th day March, 1855, dissolved by mutual con- sent.
All Debts due to the said late Copartnership Firm are to be received by the said CARR LUCAS; and all persons to whom the said Partnership stands indebted, are requested to send their respective Ae- counts for liquidation to the said Cann Lucas, who has assumed the Responsibilities of the said late Firm, and fully discharged the said Mackerroom GalooST MACKERTOOм from all Liabilities in respect thereto.
