His Excellency Her Majesty's Plenipotentiary and Chief Superintendent of British Trade in China is pleased to notify, that in consequence of the retirement of ADAM WALLACE ELMSLIE, Esquire, from the Public Service, The Right Honorable The Earl of Clarendon, Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, has appointed Charles A. Winchester, Esquire, to bè British Vice-Consul at Canton.
