The Hongkong Government Gazette. [No. 82.-JANUARY 24, 1857.

It is therefore recommended that such Boat-owners and Divers as may wish to be employed at the said Fishery, should be at Aripo on or before the 20th February next.

The Fishery will be conducted on account of Government, and the Oysters put up to sale in such Lots as may be deemed expedient. The arrangements of the Fishery will be the same as have been usual on similar occasions,

All payments to be made in ready money in Ceylon Currency, or in East India Company's Rupees.

Drafts on the Banks in Colombo, or Bills on the Agents of this Government in India at Ten day's sight, will be taken, on letters of Credit being produced to warrant the drawing of such Drafts or Bills.

For the convenience of purchasers, the Treasurer at Colombo and the different Government Agents of Provinces will be authorized to receive Cash Deposits from partics intending to become purchasers, and Receipts of these Officers will be taken in payment of any sums due on account of the Fishery.

No deposit will be received for a less sum than Fifty Pounds.

CARGO will be received on board until 5 P.M. on the 28th; SPECIE until Noon on the 29th; and PARCELS until 2 r.m. on the 29th.

CONTENTS AND VALUE OF PACKAGES ARE

REQUIRED.

A Written Declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages for the Overland Route is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be delivered by the Shipper to the Company's Agents with the Bills of Lading or with Parcels; and the Company do not hold themselves responsible for any Detention or Prejudice which may happen from incorrectness on such declaration.
