GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

The Contract for publishing this Gazette, entered into on the 24th September, 1853, was terminated on the 30th ultimo; and notice is hereby given, that a New SERIES of this Gazette will be published hereafter, to commence from the 7th instant, under a New Contract, and that

“THE HONGKONG GOVERNMENT GAZETTE" will, as before, be the only Official Organ for ProclamaTIONS, NOTIFICATIOns, and Ponic Pavyns, of this Government.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Whereas, by a verdict of a Coroner's Jury, certain Persons unknown have been declared guilty of the Wilful Murder of a Man, Name unknown, on the 23d September ultimo, at West Point: Notice is hereby given, that

A REWARD OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS,

and a Free Pardon to any of those concerned, (the actual Perpe 'rators of the Murder excepted,) will be given to any Person or Persons who shall give such information as shall lead to the apprehension and conviction of any one or more of the Parties guilty of the above Crime.
