The Hongkong Government Gazette.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

55.

It is hereby notified, that under the terms of Section 3 of Ordinance No. 11 of 1844, and Section 1 of Ordinance of 1858, Wednesday, the 9th Day of November next, is fixed for a Special Sessions of Justices of the Peace, to ll on that day, at the Office of the Chief Magistrate of Police, at Eleven o'clock in the Forenoon, for the pur- of considering Applications for Licenses for the salo of Spirituous and Fermented Liquors, during the year

the 1st December next.

Lions for such Licenses must be lodged at the Chief Magistrate's Office, at least Ten Days before the in the Form prescribed by the above quoted Section of the first mentioned Ordinance; and no application or that period be received for submission to the Sessions.

Primed forms of Applications may be obtained, by intending Applicants, at the Chief Magistrate's Office, on

Days between the Hours of 10 A.M. and 4 P.M.

Sales of Land by Public Auction will be held, on the Ground to be sold, on Monday and Tuesday, the 10th 11th October, commencing at 4 o'clock P.M.

The following Schedulo of the Lots for Sale is published for general information. Lots from Nos. 1 to 7, in vicinity of Bonham Road, will be sold on the 10th, and the remainder, at Wanchi, on the following day.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Notice having been given, that the present Contract for Printing the Government Gazette, and executing the Printing required by this Government, will expire on the 31st of December next, it is hereby intimated for al information that Tenders for Printing the said Gazette, and exceuting such other Printing Work, will be ald at this Office up to 4 .. on the 30th November of the current year.

Tenders must specify terms on which the Gazette will be undertaken at a certain rato per page, half-page, of ten lines, or single line, also the terms for supplying Copies of Ordinances, Notifications, &c., made up into - from the Gazette without alteration of width.

The charge for Chinese Characters, and for intricate Tabular work, must also be specifically stated.

The Tenders for Job Printing must be separate, but framed similarly in their details.

Sixty Copies of each issue of the Gazette will be required for the Government, and the Printer will be expected

pa sufficient number on band for the supply of the Public.

Paper for the Gazette must be found by the Contractor; for the Job Printing it will be furnished by the

ament.

Any further information that may be required will be supplied at the office of the Auditor General.
