GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Under the provisions of the Ordinances for raising an assessed Rate on Lands, Houses, and Pre- mises within the Colony, it is hereby notified that His Excellency The Governor, with the Advice of the Executive Council, is pleased to direct that the Valuation made by the Public Assessors of such Property for the Year 1860, shall stand as and for a new Valuation for the Year now next ensuing.

For any augmentation to the said Valuation of 1860, arising from the improvement of Property, or the erection of new Tenements since the said Valuation was made, the Assessors will furnish Occu- pants or Proprietors of Tenements with the prescribed written Valuation-notice.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Notice is hereby given, that a Sale of Crown Lands will be held in the month of December. Any Person desirous of obtaining land for building on, or otherwise, are requested to notify their wishes to the Surveyor General on or before the 12th Instant, that the same may, if approved, be surveyed and measured, preparatory to publication of the Schedule in the Government Gazette, as usual. GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Whereas by the terms of the Crown Lease the unlicensed establishment of Forges and Blacksmiths' Shops is strictly forbidden, and whereas many such are now reported, Notice is hereby given that such Forges and Shops shall cease working from the 10th Instant, and shall not be allowed to resume work, unless possessed of a License under the hand of the Surveyor General, whose duty it shall be to see that all due precautions against Fire are taken on the Premises, and that no inconvenience is caused to the neighbourhood or the Public by the establishment of any such Forge or Shop.

Future application for the establishment of such Shops must state the particulars of construction, locality, and all other necessary details.
