The subjoined Post Office Notification is published for general information.

POST OFFICE NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified for general information that henceforth Letters addressed to India may be registered if the senders desire to adopt that course.

A Registration Fee of Six-pence must be paid, in addition to the postage, upon every Letter so registered.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

The subjoined List of Trading Vessels duly authorized to carry the British Flag under Ordinance No. 4 of 1855 is published for general information.

All other Licenses granted under that Ordinance have been cancelled by expiry or surrender of Register, loss of Vessel, or other cause.

Copies of this Notification will be sent to the Ports of China, and any Vessels, other than those now enumerated, sailing under Colonial Registers, will be proceeded against either through the Owners or Sureties.
