GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION,

At the request of His Excellency the Naval Commander-in-Chief the following Boundaries are assigned to the anchorage set apart for Vessels of War, and it is ordered that no Merchant Vessel shall remain at anchor within them, except by permission of the Master in Command of the Princess Charlotte.

WESTERN BOUNDARY.

A Line running from the Military Pier to the Melville Hospital Ship.

NORTHERN BOUNDARY.

A Line running from the Melville Hospital Ship towards North Point till it meets the Eastern Boundary.

EASTERN BOUNDARY.

A Line running from the Seaman's Hospital towards Kowloon Point till it meets the Northern Boundary.

To the West and North the Boundaries remain unaltered; to the East the anchorage has been considerably extended.

This Notification is substituted for that which appeared in the Government Gazette of 2nd October, 1858, and the Acting Harbor Master has been directed to render every assistance in giving effect to it.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Notice is hereby given, that the Surveyor-General has received orders to make immediate arran- gements for carrying into effect the conditions of the recent Sale of Land at Show-ke-wan; that is to say, with reference to the removal of Shops or other encroachments upon proposed lines of Streets, and the execution of such portions thereof, as are required to be made by the Government.

Crown Tenants, Purchasers at the above Sale on the 3d and 16th Ultimo, and Grantees of Land, are accordingly required to conform to the Boundaries of their respective Lots; and all unauthorized Persons now occupying any portion of the same, or any portion of Government Land, are to remove all materials therefrom within One Month from the present date.
