Item 8.--Construction of a Pier between Lots Nos. 101 and 24, continuation of Ice House Road. Plans and Specifications may be seen, and any other information relative to the above obtained, upon application at the Surveyor General's Office from 10 A M. till 3 P.M.
Item 9.--Erection of a portion of the new Gaol in the area West of the present Debtor's Prison, comprising the Inspection Hall, 2 Wings and Cook House, &c.
The Plans and Specifications for the last named service may be seen on the 6th February, and Tenders for the same received on or before Monday, the 20th February, at Noon.

At the request of His Excellency the Naval Commander-in-Chief the following Boundaries are assigned to the anchorage set apart for Vessels of War, and it is ordered that no Merchant Vessel shall remain at anchor within them, except by permission of the Master in Command of the Princess Charlotte.
WESTERN BOUNDARY.
NORTHERN BOUNDARY.
A Line running from the Military Pier to the Melville Hospital Ship.
A Line running from the Melville Hospital Ship towards North Point till it meets the Eastern Boundary.
EASTERN BOUNDARY.
A Line running from the Seaman's Hospital towards Kowloon Point till it meets the Northern Boundary.
To the West and North the Boundaries remain unaltered; to the East the anchorage has been considerably extended.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
Notice is hereby given, under the provisions of Section IV. of Ordinance 11. of 1844, that Wednesday, the 7th day of February, 1860, is fixed for a Special Sessions of the Justices of the Peace, to be held at the Chief Magistrate's Office at Eleven O'Clock in the Forenoon, for the purpose of considering Applications for the transfer of Spirit Licenses by the Holders to other parties.
Such applications must be lodged at the Chief Magistrate's Office, at least ten days before the Sessions.
