GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

His Excellency Sir HERCULES ROBINSON, with the sanction of His Grace the Secretary of State, being about to leave Hongkong for a short time from this date, it is hereby notified that during His Excellency's absence this Government will be administered by the Colonial Secretary in accordance with the provision made in such case by the Royal Charter of the Colony.
