PROCLAMATION.

By His Excellency WILLIAM THOMAS MERCER, Esquire, Acting Governor and Commander-in-Chief ne Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.
Whereas the Commands of Her Most Gracions Majesty The QUEEN, conveyed through His Grace DUKE OF NEWCASTLE, K.G., Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies, have been received, roving of and confirming the following Ordinance, namely:-
No. 11 of 1862, entitled," An Ordinance to apply a Sum not exceeding Four hundred and
fifty-five thousand Four hundred Dollars to the Public Service of the Year 1863": Now, therefore, it is hereby declared, that the said Ordinance has been so approved and con- ed, as aforesaid.

In consequence of the Tender for building Floating Police Stations which was accepted having 1 made under a misapprehension, it is hereby notified that Fresh Tenders will be received at this ce, until Noon on Monday the 29th instant, from persons willing to contract for the building of
Boats to be used as Floating Police Stations in Victoria Harbour.
Plan, Specification and further particulars can be obtained at the IIarbour Master's Office. Tenders must state the time within which it is proposed to complete the work, and the person se tender is accepted will be called upon to enter into a Bond to the Crown for the due perfor-
ce of the contract.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
1. It is hereby notified that Colonial Postage Stamps will be issued from the Treasury and General : Office of this Colony on and after the 8th December next.
2. These Stamps represent the following amounts in value:-
Two Cents,...... Eight Cents,
..or One Penny.
.Four Pence.
Six Pence. .Nine Pence.
Twelve Cents,..
Eighteen Cents,
Twenty-four Cents,
Forty-eight Cents,......... Two Shillings.
Ninety-six Cents,.
.One Shilling.
