NENDERS will be received at the Gaol Office, until Noun of the 24th of November, 1862, for PROVISIONING and CLOTHING, &c., the prisoners in H. M. Gaols of this Colony for One Year, commencing on the 26th day of November, 1862, in accordance with the following SCHE- DULES, viz:~

WHEREAS an Action has been commenced in
this Court at the suit or the above named Edward Hutchinson l'ollard, against the above named Gellabhoy Sewjee, Pudumsay Khetsc; Sew- jee,Ookeeda Sewjee, Luckumsey Sewjee & Meghjee Gellabhoy, to recover the Sum of Nine Hundred and Twenty Five Dollars upon and by virtue of a promise made by Defendants in consideration of services to be rendered by the Plaintiff and which were afterwards rendered and upon and by virtue of a subsequent promise to pay Nine Hundred and Twenty Five Dollars for services rendered, and it being alleged that the said Geloabloy Sew- jee, Pudumsey Khetsey Sewjee, Ockerda Sewjee, Luckumsey Sewjee and Meghjee Gellabhoy, do not nor does any of them reside within the Island or its Dependencies a writ of foreign attach- ment has been issued returnable on the twenty eigth day of November instant, wherein Cassim Khetsey is garnishee.
Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this Action, the said Cassim Khetsey or any person on his behalf, will give the security and notice, and file the appear- ance or plea required by the Ordinance of this Island intituled "An Ordinance to provide for and regulate Process, in Actions at Law, against per- sons absent from this Colony," the said attachment may be dissolved.

A written declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages for the Overland Route is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be delivered by the Shippers to the Coin- pany's Agents with the Bills of Lading, or with Parcels; and the Company do not hold them- selves responsible for any Detention or Preju- dice which may happen from incorrectness on such declaration. Shippers of Cargo on the Company's Black Bills of Lading are partien- larly requested to note the Terms and Conditions of these Bills of Lading, with reference to the Transhipment and forwarding of Cargo, with a iew to the adequateness of their Insurance Policies in respect of the same.
