GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Tenders will be received at the Surveyor General's Office, on or before the 3rd day of January next, for the construction of the following works:--

Item 1.

Item 2.

A new upper line of Road Eastward from the Government Offices to the Gap. The construction of Bridges and Nullah in Belcher's Bay.

Item 3.

The erection of School Houses at Syingpoon and Sookunpoo.

Item 4.

Item 5.

The construction of a Pier to Praya at Western Street, West Point.. Landing steps to Praya, Syingpoon.

Plans and Specifications may be seen upon application at the Surveyor General's Office between the hours of 11 A.M. and 3 P.M.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified that certain Books containing imperfect Returns of Baptisms, Burials, &c., in the English Chaplaincy at Macao, have been sent to this Office by His Lordship the BISHOP OF VICTORIA, and are placed on record therein.

Applicants for Licenses for Cargo Boats under Ordinance No. 15 of 1860 are hereby informed that they must apply to this Office to have their Boats examined prior to such License being granted.

Present holders are also reminded that their Licenses expire on the 31st instant.
