punishment, every such person shall be bound to find good and sufficient security, to the satisfaction of the Copsul, for his future good behaviour; and, in the event of his failing so to do, it shall be lawful for the said Consul, at any time afterwards, to cause him to be again sent out of the dominions of the Kings of Siam, in the manner provided by the said Order in Council of the twenty-eighth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-six.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Mr. FRANCIS DOUGLAS having reported his arrival in the Colony, is appointed Superintendent of Victoria Gaol under instructions from His Grace the Secretary of State for the Colonies.

It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Acting Gonernor, with the Advice of the Executive Council, has directed that the Valuation made of the Lands, Houses and Premises within the Colony for the Year 1863, shall stand as and for a New Valuation for the Year now next ensuing.

For any augmentation to the said Valuation of 1863, arising from the improvement of Property or the erection of new Tenements since the said Valuation was made, the Valuators will furnish Occupants or Proprietors with the prescribed written Valuation Notice.
