XXV. Nothing in this Ordinance contained shall be construed to affect the Rights Corporation of Cutlers and Privileges of the Corporation of Cutlers of the Liberty of Hallamshire in the County to repeal 59 G. 3 c. 7. of York, nor shall anything in this Ordinance contained be construed in any way to repeal or make void within this Colony any of the Provisions contained in the Fifty- ninth George Third, Chapter Seven, intituled “An Act to regulate the Cutlery Trade in England."

Short Title.

No. 125.

XXVI. The Expression "The Merchandise Marks Ordinance 1863," shall be a sufficient Description of this Ordinance.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

HENRY G. THOMSETT, Esq., R.N., having reported his return to the Colony, has this day resumed his duties as Harbour Master, Marine Magistrate, and Emigration Officer of Hongkong.

Mr. WARD PRESTAGE, having reported his arrival in the Colony, is appointed. Overseer of Works in the Surveyor General's Department under instructions from His Grace The Secretary of State for the Colonies.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Acting Gonernor, with the Advice of the Executive Council, has directed that the Valuation made of the Lands, Houses and Premises within the Colony for the Year 1863, shall stand as and for a New Valuation for the Year now next ensuing.

For any augmentation to the said Valuation of 1863, arising from the improvement of Property or the erection of new Tenements since the said Valuation was made, the Valuators will furnish Occupants or Proprietors with the prescribed written Valuation Notice.
