The following Resolution, received through the French Consul at this Port, 'is published for general information.

LE CONTRE AMIRAL Gouverneur, Commandant en chef.
Vu les tlécisions des 10 Avril et 14 Aôut 1862 qui réglent les conditions de circulation des piastres marquées dites chop dollars;
Vu la décision du 23 Juin 1863 qui en défend l'importation, en annonçant qu'elles seront retirées prochainement de la circulation;
Vu les ressources actuelles du Trésor;
DECIDE:
Les piastres marquées dites chop dollars remplissant les conditions de circulation établies par la décision du 14 Aôut 1862, seront reçues et échangées au Trésor à Saigon jusqu'au dix Novembre prochain.
Après cette époque, les piastres marquées n'auront plus cours forcé en Cochinchine, et les décisions ci-dessus visées cesseront d'avoir leur effet.

NOTICE.
All persons intending to apply for Seamen's Boarding House Licenses for the year 1863-64 under Ordinance No. of 1852, are to send in their applications in writing to this Office on or before Friday 20th November next, stating accurately the position of the House, and that there is an entire dwelling intervening between it and any House licensed for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors.
In measuring the rooms, strict regard will be paid to the Regulations laid down on January 1st 1855, and no License will be granted to any House that does not come within the full meaning of the Ordinance.
Before a License can be issued the applicant will be required to produce the sanction of the Chief Magistrate.
