THOMAS JOSEPH REYNOLDS,

Plaintiff,

and

JOSE FARRAGUT, Defendant. an action has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above named Thomas Joseph Keynolds, against the above Bamed Jose Farragut, to recover the sum of One thousand and Six Dollars and Ninety-four Cents for money paid by the Plaintiff for the use of the Defendant at his request and for interest upon and forbearance at interest to the Defendant fr divers spaces of time of monies due and owing to the Plaintiff from the Defendant, and it being

ged that the said Jose Farragut does not re- de within this Island or its Dependencies a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued return- ble on the Fourteenth day of November next ensuing, wherein Henry Cohen and Charles C. Coben, acting for and on behalf of Messieurs Phillips, Moore and Company, are Garnishces.

Notice is hereby given thereof, and that if at Any time before final judgment in this action, the said Jose Farragut or any person on his behalf will give the security and notice and file the ap pearance or plea required by the Ordinance of this Island intituled "An Ordinance to provide for and regulate Process in actions at Law against persons absent from the Colony" the said Attachment may be dissolved.

NE of the PENINSULAR AND ORIENTAL STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY'S Steam- ship, with Her Majesty's Mails, Passengers, Specie, and Cargo, will leave this for the above places on Sunday, the 1st November, 1863, at 9 A.M.

CARGO will be received on board until 5 P.M. on the 30th October, SPECIE until Noon on the 31st; and PARCELS until 5 P.M. on the 30th.

For particulars regarding FREIGHT and PAS- BAGE, apply at the PENINSULAR & ORIENTAL STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY's Office, Hong- koug.

Contents and Value of Packages are required.

A written declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages for the Overland Route is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be delivered by the Shippers to the Com- pany's Agents with the Bills of Lading, or with Parcels; and the Company do not hold them- selves responsible for any Detention or Preju- dice which may happen from incorrectness on such declaration. Shippers of Cargo on the Company's Black Bills of Lading are particu- larly requested to note the Terms and Condition of these Bills of Lading, with reference to the Transhipment and forwarding of Cargo, with a view to the adequateness of their Insurance Policies in respect of the same.

Cargo and Specie will be registered for Londou as well as for Marscilles, and accepted in trausit through Marscilies for the principal places of Europe.

The Company has authority to grant Insurance on all Cargo conveyed by its Vessels, at a pre- mium of 1 per cent upon Merchandize, and per cent on Treasure, from Hongkong to Lyons, Paris, London, and Holland, and proportionally for places this side of Suez.

Cargo will be received on board until 4 P.M., on the 23rd of September; Specic and Parcels until 5 o'clock P.M. on the 24th.

As the Manifests of Merchandize have to be closed on the evening of the 24th, the Shippers are requested to present their Shipping Orders before 4 P.M. of said day; for past that time, no more Bills of Lading will be delivered, except after the departure of the Steamer.
