GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified that, at a meeting of the Executive Council held this day, His Excellency the Acting Governor with the advice of the Council determined, that the Police and Lighting Rates due for the Quarter ending 31st December, 1863, shall be payable at the Colonial Treasury, between the hours of 11 A.M. and 3 P.M., from the 1st to the 31st October next.

The following proposed List of Stands and Schedule of Fares drawn up by the Registrar General under the provisions of Sections 8 and 9 of Ordinance 6 of 1863, and submitted to His Excellency the Acting Governor, are published for general information previous to a final consideration of them in Executive Council.

I have not suggested more stands up the Hill inasmuch as those who live in the locality have generally speaking their
own Vehicles or Chairs.
