GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

The following Return of Notes in Circulation and Specie in Reserve at the Bank of the CHARTERED BANK OF INDIA, AUSTRALIA, AND CHINA, in Hongkong, is published for general information.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Whereas early yesterday morning Police Constable No. 339 LALL KHAN, while in the execution of his duty at Wanchai, was wilfully murdered by some person or persons unknown:

Notice is hereby given, that

A FREE PARDON AND A REWARD OF FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS will be given to any Person,-the actual Perpetrators of the Murder excepted,-who shall give such information as shall lead to the apprehension and conviction of one or more of the Guilty Parties.
