HEREAS an action has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above named Edward Meyer and Johannis Meyer against the above named Tye Cheong, to recover the sum of Fifteen hundred and Ninety-eight Dollars and Thirty-two cents for Goods sold and deli- vered and upon an account stated, and it being alleged that the said Tye Cheong does not reside within the Island or its Dependencies a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable ou the Sixteenth day of February next, wherein

BOMBAY, MADRAS, AND CALCUTTA. THE PENINSULAR AND ORIENTAL STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY's Steam-ship BENARES, Capt. WRIGHT, with Her Majesty's Mails, Passengers, Specie, and Cargo, will leave this for the above places on Sunday, the 15th February, 1863, at 9 A.M.

CARGO will be received on board until Noon on the 13th February, SPECIE until Noon on the 14th February, and PARCELS until 5 P.M. on the 13th Instant.

For particulars regarding FREIGHT and PAS- SAGE, apply at the PENINSULAR & ORIENTAL STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY's Office, Hong- kong.

Contents and Value of Packages are required.

** A written declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages for the Overland Route is required by the Egyptian Government, and inust be delivered by the Shippers to the Com- pany's Agents with the Bills of Lading, or with Parcels; and the Company do not hold them- selves responsible for any Detention or Preju- dice which may happen from incorrectness on such declaration. Shippers of Cargo on the Company's Black Bills of Lading are particu- larly requested to note the Terms and Conditions of these Bills of Lading, with reference to the Transhipment and forwarding of Cargo, with a view to the adequateness of their Insurance Policies in respect of the same.
