GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
At the request of the Spanish Consul in this Colony, it is hereby made known, for general information, that the Government of the Philippines has, pursuant to Orders from Madrid, resumed the Monthly Auction Sales of manufactured Tobacco for exportation to Foreign Countries.

It is hereby notified that the services of eight Europeans are required by this Government to form the Staff of the Convict Hulk intended to be anchored off Stone Cutters' Island.
The Staff will consist of--
1 Superintendent,
1 Warden,
1 Head Turnkey,
1 Turnkey,
2 Do.
2 Do.
..........Salary $1,920 per annum.
