No. 749.—It is hereby notified that tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Saturday, the 23rd November, 1907, for the supply of dry earth for sanitary purposes to Victoria Gaol for the space of one year from the 1st January next.
The earth to be procured from a spot to be pointed out by the Director of Public Works in the vicinity of the Pokfulam Road, and to be delivered at Victoria Gaol at such times and in such quantities as may be required.
For form of tender apply at the Colonial Secretary's Office.
For further information apply at this Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No. 750.-It is hereby notified that tenders will be received at the Colonial Secre- tary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 15th day of November, 1907, for the repair of the Government Steam-launch "Sybil ".
Specifications can he obtained at the Government Marine Surveyor's Office. Repairs to be executed to the satisfaction of the Government Marine Surveyor.
Contractor to supply a suitable launch for the use of the Health Officer of the Port during the repairs and to be responsible for the safety of the launch "Sybil ", in case of fire or hurricane,
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Black Buoy at the entrance to the River has dis- appeared, and will not be replaced, being no longer required.
Also that No. 1 Green Light, which during deepening operations was temporarily placed on the Reflecting Beacon, is now placed on a New Beacon erected on the Eastern cor- ner of the North Bank, and abreast of the junction of Nos. 1 and 2 Leads.
This affects Admiralty Charts Nos. 2389B, 1750, and 1752.
